Belcher Returns to Bnei
Uri Savir ,08/20/2006
Cookie Belcher, who suffered from a season-ending injury early last season, will try his luck once again with Bnei Hasharon, with which he had a terrific start. Belcher recovered from the injury and returned to practice.

.Cookie Belcher has played only 3 league games in Israel, but left a big mark on everybody who see him in action. In cases like this one, it's better to let the figures talk: 21.3 points, 7.3 boards, 3.3 assists and 3 steals per game put him in the first place in the index rating.

But in the end of the third gameday, he landed very badly on his hand. A day later, he was examined with two broken bones, and was forced to sit out the remainder of the season. Bnei Hasharon kept in touch with the player, and after his medicals showed he's over the injury, they signed him for next season.
