Timmy Bowers, who led Givat Shmuel's amazing late season run which prevented them from relegating, joins his former MSU teammate in Hapoel Jerusalem, Mario Austin.

Timmy Bowers leaves Givat Shmuel after only one season, and signs with Hapoel Jerusalem, where he'll rejoin his old friend, Mario Austin, who played with him in Mississippi State University. Bowers graduated in 2004, and after a season in the NBDL, arrived to Israel last summer.

The American guard, who was in tryouts with the Phoenix Suns last summer, averaged 21.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists last season, and was voted to the 1st-team of the league after scoring in double-figures in 29 of 30 league games.

Bowers led his team to an amazing campaign against all odds in the final stretch of the season, which helped them to stay in the legaue. In one of these amazing games, he scored 36 points in a stunning road win over Jerusalem.
