U20 team is world champs bound

The under 20 team qualified for the European Championship semi finals with a thrilling 83-82 win over Serbia. The win clinched the team a spot in next years world championship to be played in Argentina.
Israel 83 - Serbia 82
An offensive rebound by Anton Kazarnovski with 4 seconds to go put Israel up by 1. He missed the bonus shot from the line, Serbia missed a potential game winner at the other end and the Israeli celebrations began.
The game featured many runs and lead changes. Serbia led by 10, Israel came back, and led 73-67 in the final minutes thanks to great minutes from Lior Eliyahoo but the Serbs hit from downtown and regained the lead. Kohanski, Halperin, Limonad and Kazarnovski with the final bucket turned things around one last time and secured the wonderful accomplishment. Tomorrow Israel will face Greece, which defeated Latvia 87-66, in the semi finals.
