Smith Joins Galil Elyon

Bryant Smith, who just finished his ULEB Cup season with Sofia, joined Galil Elyon and will play on Sunday.
Bryant Smith (28, 1.96 m), an American guard/forward who finished his ULEB Cup campaign with Akademic Sofia on Tuesday, landed last night in Israel and will make his debut with Galil Elyon on Sunday against Givat Shmuel, in which Jay Straight plays.
Smith, who graduated from Auburn in 1999, wasn't drafted, played in the USBL and the CBA, before moving to Europe in 01/2, where he won the Cup in Cyprus with Appolon and was also named MVP of the season.
In 02/3 he joined Akademic in Bulgaria, and always played there except the latter part of last season. He was voted MVP of the season two season ago and also named MVP of the allstar game once.
