January Player of the Month - Omer Sneed

Omer Sneed from Maccabi Rishon led his team to 4 league wins with great stats, and he's our first player of the month for 2006.
In the end of December, Omer Sneed was late from his vacation in the States, and landed only in the day of the cup game against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Eventually, he was pretty good on that game, wasn't punished, and both sides earned from that.
Sneed averaged 17 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game this month, including 86% from the line and at least one three-pointer every night. In the cup, he also tallied 32 points and 9 rebounds in the loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv, as with the buzzer he scored his 5th three of the night from beyond midcourt!
Another strong candidate was Mario Austin, who had a big month, which he finished with 43 points against Ashkelon. On Sunday, him and Sneed will match-up in Malcha.
