Patrick Okafor signed with Givat Shmuel to replace the disappointing Wayne Wallace. Curtis McCants is also a candidate to join.
Patrick Okafor (26, 2.06 m), a Nigerian big man who was supposed to play with Petah-Tikva last season, will replace Wayne Wallace in Givat Shmuel. The latter has started tryouts in Hapoel Holon.
Okafor graduated from Houston in 2002, and played mainly in the semi-pro leagues in the States. This summer he has tried his luck with the Sacramento Kings in the Vegas summer league, but didn't get a contract.
Curtis McCants, ex-Hapoel Tel Aviv, is also a candidate for Givat Shmuel. McCants, who finished last season in Ural Great, is currently playing with Dijon in France.
McCants. Another team in Israel?
