Sasser to Replace Belcher

Jeryl Sasser, who played two seasons with Orlando Magic, signed with Bnei Hasharon.

Jeryl Sasser (26, 1.98 m) signed with Bnei Hasharon, and on Sunday will already replace Cookie Belcher, who injured his hand badly a week and a half ago against Ironi Ashkelon.

Sasser, Jason's brother and SMU all-time leading scorer, left the college in 2001 with career averages of 17 points, 4 assists and 8.3 rebounds! Orlando Magic took him in the 22nd draft pick, and he played there 82 games over two seasons (2.5 pts, 2.3 rebs).

In the last two seasons he has played for Yakima Sun Kings, as two years ago he's tried his luck with Pau Orthez, but was released after only 3 Euroleague games.
