Nsonwu-Amadi Comes to Galil

Uche Nsonwu-Amadi, a Nigerian center who played last season with Oostende, completes Galil Elyon's roster.

A week into the season, Galil Elyon finally completes its roster, by signing Vukasin Mandic and Uche Nsonwu-Amadi (27, 2.08 m), a Nigerian center, who played with Galil's Jay Straight in Wyoming, where he graduated in 2003.

Nsonwu-Amadi averaged 12.3 points and 7.4 rebounds for Oostende in the Belgic leage, and 10.5 and 6.5 rebs in ULEB Cup. A year earlier he has played 6 games with Galatasary from Turkey (10.8 and 8.6) before moving to French Antibes from the second division where he had 17 pts, 11.2 rebs and 2.2 as.

He's the third Nigerian to play in Israel this season, along to Tunji Awojobi from Ramat Gan and Ogguna Onyekwe from Bnei Hasharon. His first game will be against Gravlines in the Eurocup next week.
