Maccabi Tel Aviv crushed the so called "League Stars" 102-77 and extended their streak to 38. Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Ashkelon in a practice match.
For the 3rd straight season, the Premier League opens its season with a game between Maccabi Tel Aviv and the "League Stars", only nobody bothered to choose the real stars, and Maccabi had no problem with them en route to their 38th win in a row since February.
Vujcic dunked 3 times in the first minute alone, Maccabi ran to 20-5 and the "Stars" were in it only until the third quarter, when the Yellows geared up and crushed them easily.
Sharp led Maccabi with 21 points, Vujcic added 20, Arnold 15 (7 rebs), Baston and Solomon 12 each. John Oden led the losing side with 17, Sneed added 13 and Bowers 12.

In a game in Usishkin, Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Ironi Ashkelon 69 - 66. Ashkelon missed Brandon Kurtz and Moshe Mizrachi, Hapoel missed Erez Katz and Gilly Mossinzon.
Hapoel: Hatten 23, Lett 17 and Roberts 11. Ashkelon: Ermichin and Orland 14 each, Pledger 13.
