Israel scored only 6 points in the first quarter, and until the half, they had more turnovers (15!) than points, as Greece led 25-14.
5 straight three-pointers, good minutes by Green down low and new energy from Halperin put Israel within 4, but Zisis was just terrific and gave Greece a 49-41 lead.
Green had to leave with back problems, but Markovich was just as good. Green was Israel's only double-digit scorer with 11, Markovich and Halperin added 9 each, Tapiro and Mizrahi 8 each, Burstein 6. Zisis led the winners with 23 points and 6 assists, Papadopolous added 19 points and 10 boards.
