Mario Austin is the third foreign player of Hapoel Jerusalem for 05/06 season.
Mario Austin (PF/C, 23, 2.06) who played last season in Italian Biella, will play next season in Hapoel Jerusalm.
He lest Mississippi State University after 3 years to be drafted by Chicago Bulls at the 2003 NBA draft.
He was sopposed to play in Cska Moscow in 03/04 but eventually came back to the States to play in the WBA league where he voted as the league MVP.
In 04/05 He played in Biella (34.5 mpg, 16.7 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.3 apg) together with Cookie Bletcher, who signed with Bnei Hasharon.
