Elitzur Ironi Ashkelon continues to build their roster, and today they sign center Brandon Kurtz and guard Yehu Orland.

Brandon Kurtz, who played last season for Galil Elyon, signed with Elitzur Ironi Ashkelon. Kurtz, the Tulsa graduate who also played in Italy and Turkey, has tried his luck this summer in the NBA summer camps with the Suns.

Last season, the soft handed big man averaged 14.8 points and 8.5 boards per game in 22 league games. In all 4 meetings with Ashkelon, Kurtz' Galil won, and in the last game of the year, he nailed a game winner from all court long!

Yehu Orland, together with the young Itzik Cohen, is expected to be the only member to stay in the team from last year. Orland, who played once in Galil and Ra'ananna, is the leading candidate to replace Avi Sukar as the team's captain.
