Sidney Joins Rishon

Maccabi Rishon signed guard Ryan Sidney (23, 1.88 m), who led Turkish Mersin to promotion last season with over 30 points per game.
After signing Lee Matthews, Maccabi Rishon also signs Ryan Sidney, a Boston College former guard. Last season he played in Mersin, which he led to the first Turkish league with about 30 points, 9 boards and 5 assists per game.
Sidney, who averaged 15 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists while playing for Boston College, was named All-Big East 2nd team in his final year, before moving to Divison II because of personal problems. Sidney preferred Rishon over other offers, the most serious from his last team.
