Rishon Grabs Roberts; Should Get Passport

Jeron Roberts, the National League leading scorer last season, who is close to obtain an Israeli passprt, has signed for 2 seasons with Maccabi Rishon.
Jeron Roberts (29, 1.94 m), who played last season in Maccabi Ashdod, has signed for 2 season with Maccabi Rishon, and is expected to obtain an Israeli passport soon due to his local wife, Leora.
Roberts, who graduated from Wyoming, has played in Turkey before arriving to Kiryat Motzkin 6 years ago. Since he has played mostly in the second league, with Lev Hasharon, Ramla and Ashdod.
The guard/forward, who led the league in scoring last season (27.8 ppg) with Ashdod, was wanted by several other teams, including Rishon, during the last season.
