The semifinal stage in the Premier League ended, with 2 meaningless games: Maccabi Tel Aviv crushed Hapoel by 40 in the finals preview, Galil overcame Ashkelon on the road.

Maccabi Tel Aviv - Hapoel Tel Aviv 116 - 76
Maccabi wanted to send a statement, and played only with their premium rotation (Halperin didn't play a sec). For a few moments between the first and second quarter, Hapoel was in the game, but the rest was a Maccabi shootout, with Burstein and Sharp bombing from downtown. Coach Effie let his youngsters gain some minutes, and in the end, 40 points differential.

Burstein had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists, Sharp added 20, Shelef 17, Jasikevicius 15, Vujcic and Baston 14 each and Parker 11. Gibbs had 24 in a losing cause.

Elitzur Ashkelon - Galil Elyon 81 - 82
In a truly meaningless game, Galil completed a 4-0 season sweep on Ashkelon, after Brandon Kurtz' game winning shot.

Gordon had 18 for the winners, Kurtz added 15, Ben-Shimol and Eliyahu 10 apiece. Weaks had 17 points, Dean 16, Sneed 15, Katz 13 and Carr 12.

The championship series (Best of 5) will begin Monday.
