After the humiliating loss in Ventspils, Israel must defeat Bulgaria in the first of three home games in a row.

Still carrying the embarrassing 57-80 defeat to Latvia in the EC Preliminaries opening game, Israel will take on Bulgaria at 20:00 in Metro-West, Ra'ananna, in the first of three straight home game.
Jerusalem's Ido Kozikaro (Played just 6 minutes in Latvia) and the young Raviv Limonad are supposed to replace Erez Markovic and Yotam Halperin in the starting lineup.
Despite the first game defeat, a big win over Bulgaria will put Israel in a good position to catch one of the two first places in the group, which clinch a European Championship berth.
On Wednesday Bulgaria hardly defeated Portugal 89-87, behind 25 points of local star Todor Stoykov, who plays for Bulgaria's champion, Academic.
In their pick, Bulgaria finished second in the European Championship, but the last time they qualified for the final tournament was 11 years ago, when they finished 14th. In the last semifinal campaign they finished fourth behind Lithuania, Turkey and Ukraine with a 5-5 record, including two close losses to Turkey and Ukraine and two away wins.
In the group's second match, Portugal will host Latvia (17:00).
