Deon Thomas has broken his leg tonight in Maccabi Tel Aviv's training session, and he's almost surely out of for the remainder of the season.

Terrible news for Maccabi Tel Aviv, 3 weeks before the Euroleague's Final 4 in Moscow, as Deon Thomas broke his leg tonight in the evening session.

Thomas was rushed to a near hospital in an ambulance, and it seems that he's suffering a very serious injury. He'll undergo a surjery tonight, after which we'll know for how long will he be out of action.

Thomas averaged 7 points and 3 boards in 16 minutes per game in the Euroleague tonight, and was the first reserve for the big men off the bench. Now the young Yaniv Green, who had only 0.2 points and 0.8 boards in less than 4 minutes per game during Maccabi's last 5 Euroleague games, is the only replacement for Vujcic and Baston. Maccabi will play tomorrow in Rishon in the second game of their quarterfinal series.
