The league's runners-up is close to signing high-school sensation Jeremy Tyler, who will play the next two years in Israel until becoming eligible for the 2011 draft, in which he might be picked first. Tyler will be the youngest foreign player in the BSL.

Jermey Tyler, who just turned 18 less than two months ago, has unofficially agreed on all terms with Maccabi Haifa for the next two years. The 2.11 meter big man, born in San Diego, California, has decided to skip his senior year and NCAA future and skip right into European pro basketball.
The sensational forward/center, who was recruited by Louisville, announced a few months ago on his plan to become the first American to spend his two years before the draft in Europe.
He was close to signing with Slovenian powerhouse Olimpija Ljubljana, but eventually preferred Haifa, who chased him in the last few months, as well as other teams from Greece and Spain.
Tyler, who averaged 28.7 points per game as a junior last season, is considered the leading candidate to top the NBA 2011 draft.
He will be the youngest foreign player even to play in the Israeli league, breaking Maryland's John Gilchrist's record, who made his debut with Maccabi Rishon in the 05/06 season before turning 22.
Tyler joins another huge NBA prospect, Davon Jefferson, who recently extended his contract for another year. The USC forward, who was one of the best players in the league last year, led Haifa to the playoff and cup finals.
