Nahariya: Woolridge Replaces Lee
Uri Savir ,12/24/2004
Arthur Lee pays the price for Nahariya's lack of success, and leaves Ironi Nahariya. Andre Woolridge is the new point guard of the team.

What was rumoured for a long time got the official stamp last night, as the disappointing Arthur Lee was cut from Ironi Nahariya, after only 12.3 points and 4 assists per game, with just 24% from three-point land. Lee was very unstable so far, and right from the start of the season proved us that it's not the same player who led Nahariya to a playoff final two years ago.

Andre Woolridge (31, 1.83 m) has already practiced with the team last night, and he'll play his debut on Sunday in the state cup's quarterfinals against Ashkelon.

Woolridge, who graduated from Iowa in 1997, played most of his career in Turkey and France, and last season led Gravleans to a surprising playoff final with 10.6 points and 4.7 assists per game.
