After several months of rumours it's finally official: Yaniv Green (24, 2.06 m) has signed a three-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
After two years with Hapoel Tel Aviv, F/C Yaniv Green moves to the other side of town and will play the next three years with Maccabi Tel Aviv's yellow jersey.
Green, a product of Bnei Hertzliya's youth department, has also played one season with Maccabi Ra'ananna and two cadentions in his home club before joining Hapoel.
The young prospect played a major role in Israel's U-20 Silver medal in the 2000 European championship, and also in last year's national team 7th place success.
Green also had an invitation to the NBA champions, Detroit Pistons' final training camp, after a previous impressive summer league performance, but he chooses to go with Maccabi's offer.
Following this deal, Deon Thomas will probably departure the Euroleague champs after only one season.
