Firecracker Stopped the Game in Jerusalem

It was one of the best games of the season, but with 1:24 to go, a firecracker was thrown into the floor, injurying a security officer and causing the stoppage of the game. Monday's game was postponed. In other matches: Wins for Bnei Hasharon, Rishon and Nahariya.
Round 7 in the women's league which was scheduled for Monday was also postponed


For 38 minutes and 36 seconds, it was one of the best games of the year. Hapoel Holon and Hapoel Jerusalem supplied great atmosphere, terrific basketball and a lot of drama, too.

But with 1:24 to go, a hooligan threw a firecracker from the stands into the floor. A security officer grabbed it and tried to get it away, but it exploded in his hands, cutting 3 of his fingers.

The game was immediately stopped, and the referees decided not to continue it.

The league's management also decided to postpone the game between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ironi Ramat Gan, which was scheduled for Monday.
